Fine Tuning Your Frequency

How is your energy lately? There are many shifts going on energetically right now, and new mindsets & paradigms are being cultivated. While physical distancing can be difficult emotionally, being away from the energies of everyone else, besides those you live with, may actually help you focus on fine tuning your own frequency.

Everything in the universe carries its own energy, aka frequency, including you. Our own frequency is affected by all of the energy around us from other people, to plants, to technology. What and who we decide to surround ourselves with can either lift us up into a higher vibration or bring us down into a lower one. We also have the power to choose to release or leave something/one that no longer “vibes” with the high energy life we are creating for ourselves. If you no longer want to live a low vibe life, then distance yourself from that which brings you down. Know that in doing so you are steeping further into your own energy and power.

During this time of physical distancing, you have the chance to focus on your own energy and determine what frequency you want to emit into the world. What kind of person do you want to be? When others think of you, how do you want to be remembered? How do you want to make others feel when they are connected to you? How do you want to feel? Once we are all able to be back together again physically, you still have opportunities to cultivate your true frequency if you make it a priority. For example, I love my being time (others may call this their alone time), it allows me to recalibrate and shift into the frequency that is mine and mine alone. Whether it’s through walking outside, meditating, journaling, learning something new or creating something new, I get to choose what kind of energy I’m going to embody and breathe into the world. Instead of being influenced by my partner’s or social media’s energy, I give myself space to cultivate my Self as an energetic being. Because that’s what humans are at our core, energetic beings. Once I realized this, it made so much sense to me why I was always oscillating between different energetic states or emotions. I was allowing things & people around me to influence my energy instead of fine tuning my own so I could ground in it. Give yourself the same being time to cultivate your own frequency.

Spend some time meditating, journaling or thinking on the questions above and then figure out how you’re going to become that person by shifting your energy, your mindset, the things you do, and what you consume both physically and mentally. Some of the things you can shift may be obvious and others not so much. The food you eat and the things you drink affect your energy and the way you feel. It’s why eating something like mac and cheese (even one of my personal favorites from time to time) can leave you feeling sluggish and heavy, while something like a fresh garden salad with roasted salmon can leave you feeling light and energized. Take stock of the books you read, the news you choose to look at, the music you listen to, and the people you follow on social media. Do they make you feel inspired? Energized? Full of joy? Or do they make you feel fearful, angry or weighted down? Is the workout routine you’re doing bringing you joy and strength, or annoyance and defeat? Maybe the crossfit you dread doing isn’t the best for your energy and doing something like low impact circuit training would better? Take a look at the way you talk to yourself. Do you pump yourself up, use compassionate words and observe yourself with gentle acceptance? Or, are you critical, harsh and belittling? On top of that, how do you allow the people around you to talk to you and treat you? Are you speaking up for yourself or letting others determine your mood/energy based on how they feel? All of these things, and more, are areas where you have the power to fine tune your frequency and shift into the energetic state of the person you want to be. Free from the influence of outside energies, and free to be your own radiant self.

Be purposeful, be conscious. Use this time to step into your inner power and start living your life the way you want to!
